Chicago is also known as The Windy City or America’s “Second City”. Chicago located in north eastern Illinois tip of Lake Michigan. The best time to visit is during the summers. Winters are cold, snowy and windy with temperatures below freezing. Spring and Fall are mild with low humidity. The city has a population of 9.7million people which makes it the largest city in the American Midwest. The city is founded in 1833 at the site of a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. The city soon became a major transportation hub in North America and quickly became the transportation, financial and industrial centre of the Midwest. There are many houses retail, restaurants, museums, exhibition halls, auditoriums, and Grant Park on the lakefront where one of the most visited landmarks in the Midwest.
